There is always creativity and new tile technologies to discover at Cersaie. Here are some of the key flooring trends spotted at the show:
Retailers were welcomed to Orlando for CCA Global Partners’ Flooring America/Flooring Canada and Carpet One Floor & Home conventions. The brands shared their latest programs and products in the two-day conneXtion event for Flooring America, immediately followed by the two-day Carpet One Winter Convention, called Engage.
Flooring America/Flooring Canada said it would be partnering more closely with The Floor Trader and the International Design Guild to share programs and resources. According to Keith Spano, Flooring America president, “This allows us to continue to grow and scale our model. We’re encouraging members to open new locations, cross-pollinate and capture different clientele. We now have the outlet model, the luxury model and the full-service retail model.”
Among Carpet One’s announcements was the new C1 Radio, a podcast for members sharing the latest tips, business trends, best practices, product updates and company news.
Both Flooring America and Carpet One unveiled programs including Cutting Edge custom area rugs, Innovia Xtreme Clean carpet and updates to the Vision 20/20 scalable store layout with new focal walls, warmer lighting/fixtures and a concierge-inspired welcome desk.
Also during both events, Mannington Mills’ Chairman Keith Campbell thanked the retailers on hand for their business, while also noting his company’s 100th anniversary milestone. “Thank you. From family-owned company to family-owned company, without you we would not have hit the century mark.”
